The Move, The Madness & The Magic of Starting Fresh
Hey Roomies!
If you’ve ever moved houses, you know it’s rarely just “packing a few boxes and calling it a day.” Oh no. Moving is its own adventure — part chaos, part excitement, part emotional rollercoaster… and in my case, a little bit fabulous too.
This move has definitely been an adventure in its own right, and while it’s been fast-paced, it’s also been filled with moments of gratitude, creativity, and possibility. I’ve had movers, organizers, and my favorite little assistant Alexa helping me bring order to the madness so we could get settled much quicker than a typical move.
But let’s be honest… when have I ever done anything the normal way?
A New House Full of Potential
As I walk through this new home, I can already see the possibilities unfolding in my mind. Every wall, every corner, every bit of light coming through the windows is whispering design ideas.
And if you know me, you know I’m already mentally romifying the entire place.
The bones of this house are fantastic. The flow works. The rooms make sense. And most importantly, it has that special quality every designer hopes for — potential.
There’s something magical about starting with a blank slate. It’s like a quiet promise that says, “You can create something beautiful here.”
My New Office: A Dream Space in the Making
One of the spaces I’m most excited about is my new office.
For the first time, I’ll have a dedicated area where I can focus on my client work, design concepts, project planning, and creative builds. This space will be where so many ideas come to life — mood boards, layouts, styling concepts, and the behind-the-scenes magic that turns a design vision into reality.
But it’s not just about work.
I also want this office to be a space where I can create freely — a place for my own inspiration, projects, and design exploration. A little corner of the house where creativity can run wild without interruption.
And trust me… I already have plans.
The Organizers: My Secret Weapon
Now let’s talk about the real heroes of this move — the organizing team.
Depending on the day and what needed to get done, I’ve had one, two, or sometimes three organizers helping us tackle the house piece by piece. From the kitchen to the living rooms to the bedrooms, they’ve been incredible at helping bring structure to the chaos.
Moving is overwhelming, but having the right people around you makes all the difference.
They’ve helped unpack, sort, and create systems that will make living here easier and more functional. And honestly, it’s been such a relief knowing I don’t have to tackle everything alone.

While the house is getting organized, something else exciting is happening behind the scenes.
