If This Iconic Las Vegas Space Were Designed Today, By Roma
Hi roomies
Today’s video is one of those design brain on, curiosity fully activated moments—and honestly, these are some of my favorites.
In this episode, I’m walking through one of the most iconic spaces in Las Vegas and asking a simple (but very designer) question:
What would this look like if it were redesigned today?
Not torn down. Not erased. Just… reimagined.

Looking at Iconic Design With Fresh Eyes
When a space becomes iconic, it’s easy to stop questioning it. We accept it as-is because it’s familiar, memorable, and tied to experience. But part of being a designer—and a creative human—is staying curious.
As I walk through this space, I talk through my real-time design thought process:
what still feels timeless
what’s starting to feel dated
and where there’s opportunity to elevate the experience
This isn’t about criticism. It’s about intention.
Scale, Drama & How People Actually Move
One of the biggest things I focus on in this walkthrough is scale. Iconic spaces often rely on grandeur—but scale only works when it’s paired with functionality.
I break down:
where drama could be amplified
how circulation and movement could be improved
how certain areas could feel more inviting instead of overwhelming
Design isn’t just about how a space looks—it’s about how people use it.
Materials, Finishes & Reimagining the Details
We also talk materials—because materials tell a story.
I touch on:
finishes that feel locked in a specific era
opportunities to modernize without losing character
flooring choices and how they affect flow
where greenery could soften and elevate the space
Sometimes the smallest changes—texture, tone, contrast—make the biggest impact.
Why This Isn’t About Tearing Things Down
Let me be clear: this is not a “rip it all out” conversation.
Iconic spaces deserve respect. They deserve evolution, not erasure. This video is about asking why something exists, understanding its original intention, and imagining how it could better serve people today—while still honoring its identity.
Great design evolves. It adapts. It listens.
Finding Inspiration Beyond the Home
One of the reasons I love doing videos like this is because they remind us that design inspiration isn’t limited to homes.
Some of the best ideas come from:
hotels
public spaces
lobbies
destinations we move through every day
If you train your eye, inspiration is everywhere.

Final Thoughts
Design should be fun. Curious. Creative.
It should invite questions—not just answers.
Whether you’re a designer, a homeowner, or someone who simply loves beautiful spaces, I hope this video encourages you to look at the world around you a little differently.
As always, thank you for coming along with me.
Thank you for being a Roomie.
And thank you for creating with me 🤍
