Empty House Tour: The New Home Before the Roma Magic

Hey Roomies!!

It’s happening. The keys are almost in hand, the boxes are waiting, and today I’m giving you a sneak peek of the new house — completely empty, full of possibility, and already mentally redesigned in my head (because you know I can’t help myself).

This is the official empty house tour before move-in, and let me tell you… the bones? They’re good. Very good.

Why This House Felt Different

We looked at a lot of homes. Some had sparkle. Some had dramatic staircases and shiny finishes. But the flow? It just wasn’t giving what it needed to give.

And if you’ve been here long enough, you know I care deeply about layout and movement. A home can have all the bells and whistles, but if the flow feels awkward, it’s a no for me.

This one? The layout makes sense. The spaces connect naturally. The proportions feel right. And most importantly — it has the kind of structure I can romify over time.

Design Plans Already Loading…

As we walk through each room in the video, I share what’s already happening in my design brain.

The main living areas have so much potential. I talk through:

  • Where Alexa’s piano will live (because yes, that matters)

  • How I’m envisioning the dining room layout

  • The way the living room will anchor the space with intention instead of clutter

And can we take a moment for the office? An actual office. With a closet. Real storage. Organization possibilities. Shelving dreams. This is growth, roomies.

Upstairs: Loft, Closets & Elevated Details

Upstairs is where things get fun.

We tour:

  • The loft (hello cozy movie nights 2.0)

  • Guest rooms with flexibility

  • Alexa’s new room — complete with a “real” walk-in closet

  • And the primary suite, which already feels calm and spacious

A lot of the bathrooms are already updated, which is such a win. That means I can focus my renovation budget on the fabulous things — upgraded lighting, intentional finishes, statement hardware, and those layered details that take a space from “nice” to elevated.

Backyard Vision: Vacation at Home Energy

And of course… we end in the backyard. Because you know I have thoughts.

Future plans include:

  • A pool (yes, manifesting it)

  • Outdoor kitchen potential

  • Shade structures

  • Lounge areas that feel like a private retreat

The goal? Create that vacation-at-home vibe without having to gut the entire interior. Smart upgrades. Strategic investments. Elevated comfort.

The Beginning of a Transformation

This is the part I love most — the before. The blank slate. The quiet stage before the styling, the rearranging, the intentional choices.

There’s something so powerful about seeing a house empty. It lets you imagine what’s possible. And I cannot wait for you to watch this transformation unfold in real time.

As always, thank you for being here, roomies
The “before” is officially documented… and the “after” is going to be so good.

I look forward to creating with you
